A graduate of the University of Central Florida's College of Engineering, Dr. Giedd was employed by General Dynamics Space Systems Division at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station for three years before pursuing a career change. He attended Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale where he received specialty training in ocular pathology at the world renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami School Of Medicine and the West Palm Beach VA Hospital. Dr. Giedd also completed a two year residency in the area of cornea and contact lenses at the Ohio State University College of Optometry where he also received a Master's degree in Physiological Optics in June, 2000. Dr. Giedd's enhanced expertise in the area of specialty contact lens fitting, including Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT), the exciting new contact lens treatment alternative to LASIK and refractive surgery co-management allows Eye Associates of Winter Park to better serve your eye care needs.
